MY STORY
Joe Conway NZQA CAM-CBT (Certified Professional Dog Trainer)
I am a graduate of the New Zealand Certificate in Animal Management - Canine Behaviour and Training. Committed to providing the most effective, convenient and science-backed training solutions for my clients’ dog training needs,
I avidly pursue ongoing education and professional development by attending several seminars per year and keeping current on all industry literature. At Canine by Design, I put my clients' needs first, and promote and use Positive Reinforcement based training methods.
I have spent time both working and volunteering at the SPCA, South Auckland Puppy Surrender, and Auckland Council both in the Henderson Dog Shelter, as a Barking Consultant and in my current role as an Animal Management Officer.
I work in with Chained Dog Rehoming and Rehabilitation and ARAN Rescue, fostering and training dogs that need some 'extra' guidance before going on to their forever homes.
When I'm not helping clients to enjoy easier lives with their canine companions, I enjoy competing in Rally-O and Obedience with my own dogs, and I'm a current member of the NorWest Dog Training Club.
My absolute passion is helping rescue and shelter dogs rehome successfully and smoothly into their new forever homes.
